We're not a large commercial caterer. Every wedding is personally prepared, styled, and delivered with care to ensure your food looks beautiful and tastes exceptional.
Wedding Catering FAQs & Booking Information
How do I book my wedding catering?
To secure your wedding date, we require a $100 non-refundable deposit. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit has been received.
When is full payment due?
Full payment is due 10 days prior to your wedding date.
When do I need to confirm guest numbers?
Final guest numbers and menu selections are required 1 month prior to your wedding. These numbers will be used for final invoicing and catering preparation.
Can we customise our menu?
Yes absolutely! Send us an enquiry and we can work with you to create something perfect.
What other things can we add on to our catering?
We can also provide plates, cutlery, crockery, tea and coffee station

Do you travel throughout Canterbury?
Yes! Fern & Feta Catering provides wedding catering, grazing tables, buffet catering, canapé catering, and event catering throughout Canterbury. We regularly cater weddings and events in Ashburton, Methven, Christchurch, Selwyn, Mid Canterbury, and surrounding areas, and are happy to travel further for larger bookings. Travel and set-up fees may apply depending on your venue location, and we are always happy to provide a customised quote.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. We can cater for most dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free guests. Please advise us of any dietary requirements when confirming your final numbers.

How many guests can you cater for?
We cater for weddings of all sizes, from intimate gatherings through to large celebrations with hundreds of guests.
Are all the packages serviced?
Our serviced packages are all included for the Banquet & Luxe package's. This includes buffet set up, styling, food replenishment during service, and pack down of catering equipment at the end of service.
Do you provide plates, cutlery?
Unless otherwise specified, our pricing does not include guest plates, cutlery, and glassware.
Can we customise our menu?
Absolutely. We are happy to work with you to create a wedding catering menu that suits your tastes, dietary requirements, and wedding style.
What happens if our guest numbers change?
We understand guest numbers can change during wedding planning. Final numbers are required 1 month prior to your wedding date and charges will be based on the confirmed numbers provided at that time.
